About this Item
A bizarre work of eschatological fear-mongering from the spiritual charlatan, self-proclaimed Bibliologist and archaeologist, James Carlton Hollenbeck. Published during the destabilizing days of WWII, Hollenbeck claimed that Prince Abdul Baraba Baha, the cousin of King Feisal of Iraq, was the "Super Deceiver" or "anti-Christ" and thus the personification of Biblical prophecy. Hollenbeck claims to have met Baha during the late 1920s and to have personally seen him start fires with his mind, raise the dead, and calm storms by lifting his hands. Hollenbeck includes a genealogical chart tracing Prince Baha's ancestry back to Abraham and concludes that since he's of Semitic descent that Jews all over the world are beginning to enter secret covenants with the Prince in accord with Biblical Prophecy. Some on the political far right used this "fact" to bolster their claims that Jews were indeed descended from Satan, as B. F. Jackson did in Book 1 of "The Mystery of the Serpent:" "Jewry is the Serpent race of Satan" and at the head is the "Asiatic Turko-Mongol Jew, Prince Abdul Baraba Baha." A fascinating work published by the occult practitioner, author and publisher, Harry Gardener. Stapled, illustrated wrappers (9" x 6"), 64 p., six photographic plates, one map, and a genealogy chart. With an introduction by the well-known magician, Harlan Tarbell. Dampstaining to the wrappers and to the margins of some pages, offsetting to the rear wrapper. A good copy. Seller Inventory # 10956
