First edition hardback, 1914, with no jacket. In overall good used condition with some minor signs of handling and storage - original red cloth boards, with gilt titles to spine and front board, are rubbed to edges and slightly marked, spine lightly tanned and embossed gilt titles to front board beginning to lose their gilding. Binding tight and appears little read, no annotations - brief gift inscription to ffep dated 1915; slight foxing to several pages and a little toning to page-ends but text and plates generally bright and clear throughout.
