Unpaginated. Illustrated boards soiled and worn around the edges. Cloth spine. Pages either loose or barely holding. Now in protective cellophane removable envelope. Ink gift inscription to ffep dated 'Xmas 1901'. Full colour frontispiece and a further 63 pages of black and white illustrations, some of which are printed with an additional colour. Edges chipped throughout with several tears to the verse (the worst 9.5cm) and some loss although the illustrations are virtually complete and not hand-coloured by an errant child. Scarce.
