Volume 14 of 20 volumes set of the Shrewsbury Edition of the Complete Works of Samuel Butler edited by Henry Festing Jones and A T Bartholomew. Hard cover with cream vellum spine and blue cloth boards with no cover wear. Dust jacket has darkened spines and small tear at each spine end, but otherwise has minimal cover wear. Clean interior with frontispiece and tissue guard, xxi, 300 untrimmed pages followed by a facsimile of the original edition of 1609 of Shakespeare's sonnets. Publication date of 1925 is most unusual, but the book remains in fine condition with good to very good dust jacket. This is the presentation copy of 750 numbered sets of the Works of Samuel Butler.
