First edition, first printing of the founding text of Christian Science. Bound in publisher's original black cloth decorated in blind and titled in gilt on the spine with orange silk page markers and errata slip tipped-in at rear and an original printed receipt for the purchase of the book from The First Church of Christ Scientist laid in. A rather sharp copy of this fragile book which usually turns up much worse for wear. About Fine, without any repair or restoration. Light wear to corners and spine ends, former owner name to front free endpaper and pages toned, and several instances of browning where a clipping was formerly laid in. Originally published in an edition of a mere 1,000 copies, rather uncommon in such nice condition. Housed in a custom folding case. Seller Inventory # 140942121
