First Edition, first printing hardcover in bright grass green cloth boards with black title underlined in red, with a black drawing of a standing cowboy on lower right quarter of frt cover. Slight mottling to cloth underneath this cowboy image but not a big deal. 2" line indentation on rear board, no broken cloth or issues. Book shows negligible color loss at still sharp tips and spine ends. 328 pp text is crisp and unmarked save for a few bits of clear cello tape on pastedowns and small former owner's addy label at foot of fep. Book is now in new 4 mil clear poly jacket for protection. Sand is a novel about a wastrel tenderfoot who turns himself into a working cowboy. It takes a few years but he gets the job done. He gets the champion mustang nobody could catch, and the gal who was even harder to corral. Seller Inventory # 46656
