Contemp. blind-stamped leather over wooden boards (darkened, slightly rubbed), 2 clasps. First edition. Paul Mezger (Eichstädt 1637 - Salzburg 1702) was - as his brothers Franz and Joseph too - member of the Benedictine order and taught theology in Salzburg. Ownership note on title (monastery Zwiefalten), front part of the binding with a later handwritten note "Zwiefalten" as well; front paste-down endpaper with another entry.
