Square format, thick quarto : 22cms x 18cms. Quarter-bound orange cloth to illustrated upper board, textured blue rear panel -all bright, clean and square with minimal only rubbing to edges and corners. 248pp; paper consistently browning throughout, apart from glossy illustrated sides of plates, which are clean and tidy, correct as called for. Eps have charming b/w illustration of birds and pixies on a branch. A large number of similar b/w decorations as vignettes, chapter headings and full-page. 24 stories listed. Tight and clean, with just a few handling marks to eps; no markings or inscriptions. Dustwrapper generally greying with age, the illustrated panels to front and spine complete and bright, rear panel with grubby marks. Small losses to long edges, the largest on rear hinge by spine head. Some small old tape repairs verso. Now protected with clear, removable sleeve. SCARCE.
