Front pastedown endpaper contains previous owner's signature in black ink. Front free endpaper also contains imprint of signature, but it has been rubbed out. Pages are discoloured. Many pages, including half title page, title page, and preface, are foxed. Some contain minor stains. Pages are thumbed. Few pages contain small creases or tears. Page edges are foxed and discoloured. Hinge separation between pages 16-17, 64-65, 72-73, 160-161. Side and tail edge uncut.
