About this Item
First Edition. Tall format with stiffened paper wrappers, illustrated thoughout. 48 pages. Wrappers torn in places and a touch rubbed, corners crumpled. An about VG copy. Robinson executed numerous work of humorous propaganda during the first world war, using his skilfully worked line drawn and & silhouette cartoons to great effect to make fun of the enemy in an archly jingoistic fashion. They proved very popular with serving soldiers who enjoyed seeing their German counterparts ridiculed on the page. Seller Inventory # 17462
