8vo. Pp. 148. Black cloth, titles stamped in yellow on the spine, Lustig drawing in yellow on the cover. In the Lustig illustrated dust jacket, unclipped ($2.00). Edges lightly foxed, endpapers very lightly age toned. Dust jacket spine ends chipped, short closed tears to top edge, colors still vibrant. Williams' first novel. Please see Purity of Aim: The Book Jacket Designs of Alvin Lustig by Ned Drew and Paul Sternberger, p. 45, for the extent in which Lustig was involved in not just design, but an effort to influence Williams, going so far as to suggest a title change.
