Stated First Edition. Ex-library. Black cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Ffep is stamped ''withdrawn'' and has the name of a previous owner. Name of library rubber stamped on title page. Rear free endpaper is damaged from removal of library pocket. Aside from these noted flaws, this is a rather clean copy. No call numbers. 384 pages. Dust jacket shows very slight wear; not price clipped ($4.50); in an archival mylar sleeve. The second book in Cordell's Mortymer trilogy, set in Wales during the period of the Rebecca Riots [1839-1843], when local farmers violently reacted against the taxation scheme, dressed up as women, blacked their faces, and rode by night to burn the hated tollgates. The British edition was titled Hosts of Rebecca. Seller Inventory # 014184
