About this Item
Octavo. 480 pages, index. Inscribed: "to John Acheris, an old friend for many years, Best Always, Marshall Trimble, January 21, 1987. A scarce guide to virtually every key aspect of Arizona. With motorists in mind, Marshall Trimble divides Arizona into five regions. He selects stretches of paved highway in each region for his history. This is not a guide in the sense that the author tells us how to get somewhere, but rather an encyclopedia of both quaint and important historical sites. Trimble also informs us about national monuments, ranches, forts, Indian villages, mines, ghost towns, and personalities associated with the sites. A near fine copy bound in yellow-green cloth, spine lettering gilt, lower corner of title page torn away but actually was connected to the front free endpaper(binder error, did not get cut), In a fine unclipped pictorial dust jacket.
