This is a nice copy of this informative guide for cyclists in Maine in 1895. The forward contains the following technological accomplishment. " The first edition of this road-book appeared before the advent of the pneumatic tire, which has done so much too change the point of view, and render so many erstwhile rough places comparatively smooth. Under present conditions Maine is a far more ridable state than formerly, and if comparison be made, its interior and northern portions average better than along the coast." The guide has several maps and in depth instructions and information soon various route. This is an original second edition road-book production and freezes the Maine in place in 1895. See pics.
