Gutter cracked behind endpapers. Faint and occasional spotting. A slip from Boots Book Lovers Library bound in, offering readers the chance of reserving a copy at a bargain price. A tale of a young physician appointed to the Russian Imperial Court who glimpses the progress towards revolution as he serves the future Catherine the Great. by Geraldine Gordon Salmon, writing under her pen name, J G Sarasin, a popular novelist in the early part of the 20th century.
