Published in 1860, this is a Signed presentation copy of this paper from the Author on the Diseases and Topography of the African Gold Coast with manuscript notes, Annotations and corrections in the author's own hand along with two original drawings of Gold Coast plants, the paper was presented to the Royal College of Surgeons with a number of college blind stamps to cover and to pages within, along with some later library labels, the paper runs to 54pp, tipped in at end is a further short paper by the author dating from February 1860 titled "Some Further Remarks on the Economical and Medical Uses of the Oil Commonly Called Croupee on the Gold Coast, Touloucouna at the Gambia and Senegal, and Kundah at Sierra Leone. 3pp, the main paper has author corrections, manuscript notes to a number of page margins, also with many annotations to the folding map, the front cover is noticeably darkened with some loss and is detached from text, lacks rear cover, internally some noticeably dusty edges to a few pages else in acceptable condition. a very scarce medical paper SIGNED with MANUSCRIPT NOTES & DRAWINGS by AUTHOR.
