8vo, 1st edition, pp 191 Hardback. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt lettering to front board and spine. Ruled borders and blind stamped symbol to lower right front board. Dust Jacket is unclipped. Signs of shelf wear and rubbing to top and lower spine on cloth board. Minor traces of rubbing to rear board. Boards are edge-worn to an extent. Sticker to front paste down (From Foyles, Charing Cross Road) and inscription in ink to front endpaper. Minor foxing to endpapers. Absolutely no ex-library stamps on any pages, but there is evidence of former library plates having been removed from the front and rear pastedowns. Overall Very Good condition. Toning to spine of Dust Jacket. Loss to upper and lower spine. Small imprint of the reverse flap to dust jacket (resulting from a water stain onto the rear pastedown) Some other minor stains and soiling to dust jacket. Also in Very Good condition. A rare copy of a 1st edition, of great interest to those interested in Theosophy. Rare to find with a Dust Jacket. Many religions today expect the coming of an Avatar or Saviour.
