About this Item
1st Edition. Hardcover. First American Edition. 8vo. 307 pp. A near fine copy in dustwrapper, showing light overall use with minor rubbing at the heel and crown of the spine and edges. Previous owner's discreet initials, dated 1941, on ffe. Woolf, introduced to Fry (founder of the Omega Workshops) in 1911 by her sister Vanessa Bell, when requested to write Fry's biography, was justifiably hesitant, aware that she could not authoritatively amplify upon Fry's artistic beliefs or reveal his love affair with Vanessa. A pleasing copy of a scarce title. Kirkpatrick and Clarke A25b. Seller Inventory # 13044
