Programme for Three Grand Military Concerts to be given by the band of the Coldstream Guards on April 20th, evening and morning and evening April 21st, 1858 at St George s Hall, Liverpool. With the full programme for the morning of April 20th. Included is a Military March composed by William Thomas Best (1826-1897), from 1855 the organist at the newly completed St. George s Hall, perhaps the most famous British organist of this period. The band leader was Adolphus Frederick Godfrey (1837-1882), of that family of famous musicians, the conductor Mr [Daniel Godfrey (1832-1903), or Charles Godfrey junior (1839-1919)] Godfrey .
