This was the first book Artzybasheff both illustrated and wrote, a folktale about Shaydullah The Beggar who seeks answers from Allah but is incapable of understanding the insights he is given. No previous ownership marks. Cloth covers age toned, rubbed corners and cloth to spine split and cracking. Interior pages and binding solid, boldly wrought illustrations clean and striking.
