The dj is chipped, with a small loss at the spine's crown and tail, with a split along the rear joint. The two pieces of the dj are now held in place with a mylar sleeve. Long Gift inscription from General Ewing's son to his grandson, reminding them that he is a Ewing, descendant from the General, and that he, and the General's 19 great-granchildren are proud of his actions and cherish his memory.
