Two volumes containing the complete collection of Wells' 24 serialized parts. Both volumes are in very good+ condition in red-orange cloth covered boards with black leather title labels on the spines and front boards all with gilt text. Both are small quartos of 10 5/8 by 8 1/4 inches with the cloth worn through over the tips of the boards and rubbed at the heads and heels of the spines. A former owner penciled in at the upper edge of the first free end page the publication date of 1921 and the date of binding in 1923 in Paris. The black leather title labels are lightly scuffed. Volume I contains 384 pages and is illustrated with a color frontispiece and images from black and white photographs, reproductions of earlier works of art, line drawings and 23 colored plates. Volume Two contains pages 385 to 780 followed by a table of contents for volumes one and two and a listing of the colour plates for both volumes. It is illustrated as above but containing a color frontispiece and 22 color plates. Seller Inventory # TB31516
