Full calf, spines with 5 raised bands and contrasting labels, gilt dentelles and edges; corners slightly bumped; edges, shoulders and top and bottom of spine a little worn, gilt decoration faded; endpapers browned at edges, otherwise condition good, front hinge weak, pages clean and text bright. The first edition, surprisingly rare, of a prominent mid-Eighteenth century French natural scientist. Seller Inventory # 000102
