Original blue cloth stamped in white on the front panel and the spine. Gift inscription to the front free endpaper, dated 1928. In the complete and quite scarce dust jacket. With minor rubbing to the front panel and spine. There is no fading of the colors and the eerie jacket art remains compelling. An old English Estate with secret passageways, old bricked up dungeons, a serial killer roaming the grounds, Oh, to be in England! A very nice copy of a scarce title - the only mystery from this author. Listed in Bleiler but they only state the Grosset & Dunlap reprint. Also listed in Hubin. Very Good / Very Good.
