8vo, hardcover, rebound in green cloth, gilt spine, xviii, 560, cxliv. Lacks frontispiece, but includes all the other plates as well as the three folding maps at the end. A very scarce work detailing the long travels of the Author in the Australian colonies, including Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania). It contains a large number of natural history observations, as well as commentaries on prison conditions and Aborigines. Rebound in plain green cloth, spine gilt with author's name, title and year. Lacking the frontispiece. The first few leaves are browned, particularly the title page, as well as the last one. Maps are very slightly foxed, and the same goes for some of the plates. The rest of the inside appears as remarkably clean, as if unread. A copy in arguably quite good condition of a very scarce title. Seller Inventory # 035184
