Classic Blyton - mysteries, pursuit, escapes, tunnels, outdoor camps, pony rides, wolves and villains.The book is 8" x 5.5" in size with thick cloth boards. The boards are cream with light blue titles to the front and spine. The front board has a blue and black illustration of a man leaping up a tree to escape a savage dog and again Kiki the parrot on the spine. The boards are not bumped, shelf worn or marked and there are no inscriptions. Due to the quality of paper in the austerity years afer the War the ffep is speckled. Whilst the illustrated boards are good enough to stand alone, the book also has a wonderful wrap-around dustjacket. The jacket would be considered in very good condition with only minimal wear to the top of the spine. Unfortunately about two thirds of the front flap is missing although this cannot be seen with the book closed - see photo. Seller Inventory # 001182
