Previous owner's name, dated Xmas 1908, on ffep. 304 pages including index, tissue guarded frontispiece portriat of the General and 34 b&w plates and a large fold out map of the Chaouiya coastal district of Morocco (this includes Casablanca). Rear endpapers a bit grubby. ***CONTENTS: The author was War Correspondent for the Times and in this capacity covered this important engagement between the French and German Empires to try to gain a foothold in North Africa.
