K. Lewis, 1883), pp. viii, 154, 16. 8vo. Ex library. Publisher's cloth binding with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Binding slightly bumped at the extremities, library shelfmark written towards foot of spine in white ink, slight foxing to the opening pages (esp. around the frontispiece), which are also a little loose, library stamp on foot of pp. 1, 51, 101, sticker ghost on outside of back endpaper. The pages making up the bulk of the book are clean and bound tightly to the spine. All-in-all a good copy. Complete with frontispiece combining four microscopic photographs of biological matter.
