A catalogue of selections from the Grolier Club exhibit of 1971, which presented a large number of Mayan objects ranging from the Late Formative Period to the Post-Conquest Period. Examples include inscriptions on stone; polychrome plates; painted, incised and carved vases; pottery flasks, boxes and figurines; bone, stucco and shell objects; and manuscripts each of which is painted or inscribed with a hieroglyphic text. .
