77 pages; black and white frontispiece portrait of George Rogers Howell; within are various pictures of himself and his son G.S. Howell and Mrs. Howell, family arms and memorials. After the deaths of the father and son, this was published, with contributions from Southampton Long Island historian and writer William S. Pelletreau; H.P. Hedges of Bridgehampton; Lockwood R. Doty of the Livingston County Historical Society and Lillie Devereux Blake of Point o'Woods; among many other contributions from family, friends, institutions and the press. George R. Howell was an historian of the town of Southampton on Long Island, NY and also a dedicated member of the Albany Institute. Approx. 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" size; bound in gray cloth, gilt cover titles. Light wear to the boards; contents clean and in very good condition.
