Undated but c. 1950. Red cloth boards, still sharp and firm (just a little worn on edges and joints). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings. Very mild toning. In its original, still bright and striking, dust jacket by Peter Rudland (a little chipped on edges, spine crease, minor shelf wear on verso). Dust jacket supplied in archival-quality mylar wrapper which protects and prolongs the life of the paper. It is not adhered to the book or to the dust wrapper. Author's first crime novel.
