First edition, first impression. Tall octavo, pp 92. Bound in paper covered boards over black cloth spine, and in the original dust jacket, un-clipped and priced $3.50. Top edge stained orange. A series of notes and sketches of places Capote had lived and worked including New Orleans, New York, Hollywood, Haiti and Tangier, illustrated from photographs by nine known photographers including Henri Cartier-Bresson, Bill Brandt and Cecil Beaton. Near Fine book which is clean and unmarked and marred only by a small knock to the top corner of the front board; in a VG+ jacket with slight edge wear and a 2.5cm discrete tear at the bottom of the front panel.
