About this Item
Little Maids. A collection of seven images by Frances Brundage. Also one page of text upon which are written the last three verses of Longfellow's poem 'Come to me O ye children!' Published by Ernest Nister of London. Printed in Nurenberg. Undated - probably 1880's and a First Edition. Size: 11.5 x 14.5 inches. A hardcover portfolio secured with three ribbons, two at the spine and one at the fore-edge. The loose leaves within are gilt edges. Condition: Very Good: The cover is somewhat darkened, and the corners a little worn, but it clean. The ribbons are present and in good condition. The paper stock is of excellent quality. The chromolithographs, all present and un-thumbed, remain clear and bright. They are only a very little darkened at the extreme edge. There is a faint line across the top corner of one image which is shown in the photographs. The poem has one small tear, about 1/4 inch long, at one edge. A heavy book.
