About this Item
Brown cloth hard cover with gilt titles on spine and only very minor edge wear and some mild sun-related fading of borders. Inside front cover is a book plate - The gift of M Oppenheim (pioneer historian of English naval administration, 1853-1927) in 1919 to Bath Public Reference Library, but none of the usual lending library stamps. Interior includes rather grubby first blank page then 300 clean pages with inscriptions inside front and rear covers - 'Celtic, St Clare Byrone 1886', frontispiece of John Fisk has small lower edge tear, and there are a number of further illustrations. Published in 1871 the book is in good condition. Seller Inventory # 003430
