Mitchell Kennerly, 1915. 318 pg. hardcover octavo, bound in cloth. Very worn binding, with exposed patches of mull at the head and foot of the spine. The person whom Barker believes to be "X" is an LA judge who passed away in 1912; there is a photo of him, but no other photographs. There is pencilling at the front and back and an ink previous owner inscription on the FFEP. A large letter "P" in black magic marker is on the top and side page ends. There are several passages which have been marked with pencilled brackets or parentheses. Not a well preserved book, but it is fairly sound for its age and a reasonably scarce copy of the original.
