*** BOOK in good tight and unmarked condition. Pictorial upper board. The lower board has publishers colophon recording that they are "Printers to the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty". Green backstrap. Book is unpaginated, consisting of about 20 coloured sketches of army life (recto) with brief explanatory notes (verso). The book is oblong quarto. The boards are a bit grubby and the endpapers are browned. Now acetate protected. The artist was ADC to General Sir George White VC, the Commanding Officer. This is a very scarce book. Included is an article from the Cape Argus dated Jan 1999, debunking some of the myths of the Boer War, Seller Inventory # 007317
