A fine copy. People who routinely commute by mass transit for a long time may come to suspect that this activity, to which they devote part of their daily lives, possibly should have some deeper meaning. But what, exactly? The author presents her reminiscences and ruminations, in prose and verse, pertaining to riding a San Francisco bus route: people, urban landscapes, the banal and the mysterious, the present and the recollected past, involvement and detachment, and so on. Set in 12 point Palatino and printed on light blue paper. A San Francisco transit schedule (for the "LX" bus route) is tipped in before the title page. Tiny drawings representing urban-type buildings are interspersed throughout the text, singly or in groups, as a kind of printer's flowers.
