One side advises about The Goodwin Tract in Mission, Texas, which is "The Home of the Grape Fruit," according to the caption. In February, 1925 E. Marvin Goodwin of Clinton, Missouri visited the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and found it to his liking for growing grapefruit and oranges as well as winter villages. He selected an undeveloped tract of land near Mission and with proper irrigation in place was able to consistently produce citrus fruits and vegetables. The other side is a large map of the region that emphasizes the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas that covers parts of Kenedy, Willacy, Cameron, Starr, and Hildalgo counties. The Goodwin Tract is prominently outlined in red. A legend is provided that details railroad lines, paved roads, state highways, grade roads, etc. A few tiny pinholes at a few fold points, else a very good copy.
