"Public Impeachment" of the main committee "Victims of Fascism" Berlin in the Berlin State Opera on December 16, 1945, on the occasion of the trial against the war criminals in Nuremberg. Contributions by Karl Raddatz, general secretary of the VVN, Gustav Dahrendorf, SPD politician who was sentenced for treason for his involvement in the July 20th plot and sentenced to seven years in prison, Otto Brass, socialist politician involved in rebuilding unions after the war, Dr. Havemann, Hildegard Staehle, social worker and resistance fighter who die at in the same hour when her speech was read at the State Opera, and Ottomar Geschke, a German politician who spent 12 years in a concentration camp. Head shots of all speakers in b/w and a portrait drawing of Hildegard Staehle. Text in German. Wraps and block somewhat age-toned. Front cover with very light soiling at lower right corner.
