1961. First edition. 54pp., and many humorous illustrations by the author. This is a collection of hilarious hints on the game of golf as appropriate for the professional as they are for the novice. Starting with a wacky definition of how golf got its name, the author goes on to describe in words and cartoons the game of golf with all its pitfalls. The book is bound in yellow cloth covered boards with green titling. It is in very good condition with bumping to the spine ends and top front corner. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. There is a little brown staining on the fixed endpapers near the spine gutter, probably taken from the glue binding the book. The top corner of the front flap of the dustwrapper has been clipped (probably by the publisher to remove the price in US dollars), but the wrapper is otherwise in very good with some shelf wear and light soiling.
