Unclipped dust jacket now in a removable mylar sleeve. QUOTED from the dust jacket flap: "The Jungian vision, broadly conceived, has generally been recognized as the psychological school most congenial to Jewish-Christian principles and practice. But that vision has often been confined to such areas as the nature of religious experience, myth-making personal religious growth, spirituality, and worship. The contributions of Jungian thought to biblical hermeneutics has often been left implicit, inchoate, or so highly technical as to be relegated to small coteries of specialists. It is the achievement of Jung and the Interpretation of the Bible to provide, in compact form, an introduction to the uses of Jung in reading the Bible. Here are accessible but authoritative studies, particularly useful for course work, on some central and exemplary texts relating to the Hebrew Bible, New Testament, and intratestamental feminist imagery." From the Table of Contents: Introduction/ Psychology, Hermeneutics, and the Bible )Wayne G. Rollins), Jacob-A Study in Individuation (D. Andrew Kille), Joseph's Dreams (Trevor Watt), Johannine Symbolism (Michael Willett Newheart), The Myth of Sophia (Schuyler Brown), Afterword/ Biblical Imagery and Psychological Likeness (David L. Miller). otes / Contributors/Bibliography. SHIPS from Eugene, Oregon, USA. INTERNATIONAL orders may require additional postage and surcharges, please inquire before ordering. Loc: FV.
