Louis Janet 1819 1st edition small hardback 80mm x 120mm. French text. iv, pp202, Calendrier Pour L an 1819 (8). Pale green coloured boards with gilt ruling to margins show a few marks. All edges gilt. Binding solid. Fine hand-coloured title page and a further 12 tissue-guarded fine hand-coloured plates by Pancrase Bessa, all as called for. Eight page calendar for 1819 to rear. Boards show light shelfwear to extremities. Light scattered foxing in places to some text pages and tissue-guards. Plates bright and clean. Full page inscription to blank front end paper. Matching slip case in pale green with gilt ruling shows a few marks and rubbing to extremities. A scarce little book, complete and with original slipcase. Very good in good slipcase.
