About this Item
DESCRIPTION: This 68 page illustrated history of Mandan and Morton County is the results of Palma Fristad compiling the many articles & stories that she wrote while working for the Mandan Daily Pioneer during the 1950s. * This publication contains table of contents, a 7 page Mandan Milestones section which is a timeline of the more important events that occured. * The articles include history of Custer and The Battle of The Little Big Horn, Mrs Custer, Lewis and Clark, Sakakawea, Sitting Bull, Fort Mandan, early transportation, floods, historic Mandan and also lots of stories of the early pioneer families that settled in the area. * Each of the 68 pages are printed on one side only and the pages were hand numbered. * Also look at item # 908. * CONDITION: The original softcover was staped but this copy has been spiral bound for easier reading. The original articles were apparently glued in preperation for printing and too much glue must have been used as many of the pages have smudge stains on them and the corrections were hand penciled in. The printing preparation of this booklet wasn't very good. The historical value of this booklet overlooks the printing preparation. It is what it is. Seller Inventory # 0948
