Gift quality 1st edition hardcover in blue paper covered boards with bright gilt title spine and 'Truth In a Tale Series' in gilt on frt cover. Lower half inch of book sunned, feint age toning on endpprs, no writing, tears, soil inside 64pp semi-gloss text. A small, slim volume to tuck into the pocket or stocking of a fortunate friend. Fitted with a lightly soiled reproduction dust wrapper with some loss at extremities that still displays well in new mylar. A beautifully illustrated volume that tells how the twins Jennifer and John choose a pony called Misty for their birthday, and how a knowledgeable Uncle horseman helps them to train him. Here are some useful hints, told in pleasant story form, on how to select a good pony and how to make him into a firm and faithful friend. The twins soon realize that Misty, like all other ponies, has strong likes and dislikes, and they have to learn how to understand him. They eventually do this and the story ends with Misty covering himself and the twins in glory, and really proving himself to be a pony to be proud of. Seller Inventory # 49100
