Cream cloth boards with bright stamped dark blue drawing of a ship on cover and titling on spine. Books is FIne with no blemishes at all. Unclipped pictorial DJ is Near Fine with small repaired tear at bottom of spine and left hand rear cover. Very large (11 1/2" x 13") and heavy. Original splicase in navy blue is Very Good to Near Fine. Book has a large TIme/Life poster showing Famous PIrate Ships laid in, presumably as originally published. Revives the exciting adventure of the age of sail that spanned five centuries. With 268 illustrations, 44 in color and 8 monographs of vessels with 31 pages of plans, 8 pages fold out to double size.
