About this Item
Leipzig, Germany. Wilhelm Goldmann Berlag. 1938. First German Edition. Octavo (8 x 5). 240 pp. plus ads. Translated from the English by Dr. van Bebber. The German edition was translated from the 1936 printing of Pool and Rapid published by Jonathan Cape, London. Haig-Brown's literary agent in New York had no record of the number of copies sold. This edition is destined for the Haig-Brown completest. The German edition of Pool and Rapid is a handsome book and it's scarce in the dust jacket. Bound by the publisher in green and cream tweed cloth with an eagle tastefully illustrated on the front cover. Illustrated end papers in light green showing deer at the edge of a stream. Top edge yellow. Pictorial dust jacket. The book is in fine condition and the jacket is very good with just a touch of edge wear. Seller Inventory # 011111

Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. My chosen shipping option is the U. S. Postal Service. USPS is the best in terms of service and cost efficiency ¿ even though recent overseas rates, effective January 2013, have skyrocketed. USPS requires mails sent overseas and Canada can ONLY be sent by AIRMAIL. Charged at actual cost. Other overseas shipping options are available, such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.; however, they are frightfully expensive.
