The principal wife had borne him two daughters, Ai and Ei, and the minor-wife had borne hinm a very pretty daughter Auey. the minor wife dies but as a Buddhist practitioner she comes back throughoout the story in a variety of incarnations. The tale concludes with ( a hanging and) a royal wedding.Learn : more about : forgiveness, negligence, retributuion, Lori, lorikeet, and the ascetic advisor. TEXT assisted by b/w drawings with very occidental visages on all the characters. Cond : paper wrapper is white with red dlettering. Front cover graphic shows Auey in conversation with the goby fish. Incipient split near spine top, else tight, bright, square and clean. No names, nor marks. Collectible !! Quote (p. 14) : " `. it has been cooked for food.
