First British edition. Translated from the Spanish and Portuguese by Harriet De Onis and others. ***Very good in beige cloth covered boards with titles in gilt. Head and tail of spine bumped. Paper stock browned. Very slightly bumped and rubbed at the extremities but nice and clean. ***In a very good pictorial dustwrapper, which is slightly creased and nicked at the edges, with small loss from head and tail of spine and at corners. Two small stains and a closed tear to the spine of the dustwrapper. Not price-clipped, showing the original publisher's price of 15/- net. ***Whilst not one of the rarer Poetry London titles, this early post-war Latin American anthology is now hard to find in collectable condition. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.***.
