Three folio volumes, pp. xxiv, 63; illustrated with 72 plates from drawings by the author and 53 plates from photographs by Charles Latham loose in boards as issued. ****LACKING 7 PLATES**** Lacking 7 of 125 plates (11, 12, 24, 35, 42, 94, 105), but still a far better thing to own than any reprint. Folio boards present but worn. Plates and text leaves fine. Triggs was a garden designer greatly admired by Jekyll for his advocacy and use of the formal style and cites some of his work in her "Gardens for Small Country Houses".
