First UK Edition. Publisher's dark-blue ribbed boards with white lettering to the spine. Pictorial end-papers printed in dark blue and black. A faint crease to the spine and a hint of fading at the tip and tail of the spine otherwise a VG+ copy. The D/W is priced 6/- net to the inside flap (as called for) and has the all-important telescope the wrong way round on both the front cover and the frontispiece. The D/W is foxed to the verso of the spine and is chipped at the head of the spine (just affecting the lettering) with a 5.5 cm, closed tear to the left hand edge at the top of the spine.
